We are looking for a full time Chef de Partie to join our team of highly dedicated Chefs.
Excellent training and support will be provided and this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to establish their career in a fine dining establishment, working with some of the best in the industry.
This is a permanent all year round position.
• Preparation of all food for front of house operations
Health & Safety:
• To work to and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout all areas of back of house.
• To maintain accurate Health & Safety records.
• To comply with local and national legislation regarding food safety.
• To ensure that all equipment is kept in good order and stored correctly.
• Wear the appropriate uniform.
• To ensure stock rotation.
• To ensure stores and provisions are date orientated and stored as required by H&S legislation.
• To ensure proper and accurate records are kept in compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
• Check deliveries ensuring proper management and record keeping of goods and return any damaged/spoiled foodstuffs to suppliers.
• To advice senior chefs of food and ingredient requirements
• To promote the hotel at industry level, participating in events and awards

We are looking for a restaurant assistant, to be a key part of our 3 AA Rosette team
Douneside House is a really special place. Set in stunning surroundings in Royal Deeside, Douneside is the AA’s Hotel of the Year Scotland 2017/18 and has recently been awarded 3AA Rosettes.
Douneside is owned by The Macrobert Trust, a charitable Trust which exists to preserve the Trust’s estate (including Douneside House) and all profits are either reinvested into the estate or donated to charity. This means our objectives and ethos are very unique.

We are looking for a hard working kitchen assistant to join our team.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team, supporting our award winning Chefs in the kitchen. This is a busy role and previous experience working in a kitchen is desirable. You will gain excellent experience and there is the ability to learn and develop on the job for someone looking for a career in hospitality.
Keep the kitchen and all equipment clean and hygienic at all times.
Basic food preparation.
Comply with all health and safety policies.
Assist the Chef team as required to deliver our high standards
Hygiene, security and emergency procedures.
This is a full time position of 40 hours per week, on a rotational 5 days out of 7.
